COVID-19 update: 1 death, 31 cases, 110 recoveries reported for district

A total of 31 more cases of COVID-19 and 110 recoveries were announced Tuesday for the Green River District, including 18 cases and 62 recoveries in Daviess County. One coronavirus-related death was reported in Ohio County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (18), Henderson (7), Ohio (5), Webster (1)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (62), Hancock (5), Henderson (16), McLean (6), Ohio (14), Union (4), Webster (3)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 19,823
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 17,402 (88%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 22
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 835 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 326

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 9,366 cases, 8,242 recovered, 11 current hospitalizations, 337 ever hospitalized, 150 deaths
  • Hancock County – 765 cases, 674 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,209 cases, 3,622 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 197 ever hospitalized, 57 deaths
  • McLean County – 817 cases, 734 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 48 ever hospitalized, 26 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,317 cases, 2,056 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 116 ever hospitalized, 48 deaths
  • Union County – 1,209 cases, 1,086 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 61 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,140 cases, 988 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 54 ever hospitalized, 17 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46.6%
  • Female: 53.4%

  • <1 — 77 cases
  • 1-11 — 708 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,751 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,267 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,137 cases
  • 40-49 — 3,096 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,852 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,402 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,493 cases
  • 80+ — 1,040 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
