COVID-19 update: 1 death, 51 cases, 383 recoveries reported for district

A total of 51 more cases of COVID-19 and 383 recoveries were announced Saturday for the Green River District, including 33 cases and 193 recoveries in Daviess County. One coronavirus-related death was reported in Davies County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (33), Hancock (1), Henderson (9), Ohio (3), Union (3), Webster (2)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (193), Hancock (22), Henderson (86), McLean (11), Ohio (43), Union (9), Webster (19)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 19,716
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 17,250 (87%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 20
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 830 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 325

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 9,302 cases, 8,155 recovered, 12 current hospitalizations, 335 ever hospitalized, 150 deaths
  • Hancock County – 765 cases, 669 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,187 cases, 3,596 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 196 ever hospitalized, 57 deaths
  • McLean County – 813 cases, 728 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 47 ever hospitalized, 26 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,308 cases, 2,040 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 116 ever hospitalized, 47 deaths
  • Union County – 1,205 cases, 1,080 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 60 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,136 cases, 982 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 54 ever hospitalized, 17 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46.5%
  • Female: 53.5%

  • <1 — 76 cases
  • 1-11 — 705 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,739 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,254 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,122 cases
  • 40-49 — 3,074 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,834 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,389 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,487 cases
  • 80+ — 1,036 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
