COVID-19 update: 76 cases, 42 recoveries reported for district

A total of 76 more cases of COVID-19 and 42 recoveries were announced Monday for the Green River District, including 46 cases and 25 recoveries in Daviess County. The numbers reflect a two-day period.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (46), Henderson (15), McLean (4), Ohio (4), Union (4), Webster (3)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (25), Henderson (10), Ohio (2), Union (2), Webster (3)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 19,792
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 17,292 (87%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 20
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 832 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 325

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 9,348 cases, 8,180 recovered, 11 current hospitalizations, 336 ever hospitalized, 150 deaths
  • Hancock County – 765 cases, 669 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,202 cases, 3,606 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 196 ever hospitalized, 57 deaths
  • McLean County – 817 cases, 728 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 47 ever hospitalized, 26 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,312 cases, 2,042 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 116 ever hospitalized, 47 deaths
  • Union County – 1,209 cases, 1,082 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 61 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,139 cases, 985 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 54 ever hospitalized, 17 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46.6%
  • Female: 53.4%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 77 cases
  • 1-11 — 707 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,746 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,262 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,132 cases
  • 40-49 — 3,087 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,848 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,401 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,492 cases
  • 80+ — 1,040 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
