COVID-19 update: 82 cases, 29 recoveries reported for district

A total of 82 more cases of COVID-19 and 29 recoveries were announced Monday for the Green River District, including 18 cases and 17 recoveries in Daviess County. The numbers reflect a two-day period.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (18), Hancock (1), Henderson (29), McLean (3), Ohio (25), Union (1), Webster (5)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (17), Henderson (5), McLean (1), Ohio (3), Union (1), Webster (2)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 18,882
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 14,857 (79%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 31
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 789 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 314

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 8,786 cases, 6,878 recovered, 13 current hospitalizations, 311 ever hospitalized, 145 deaths
  • Hancock County – 727 cases, 566 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 21 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,057 cases, 3,166 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 193 ever hospitalized, 57 deaths
  • McLean County – 793 cases, 629 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 47 ever hospitalized, 26 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,230 cases, 1,786 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 107 ever hospitalized, 45 deaths
  • Union County – 1,181 cases, 994 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 57 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,108 cases, 838 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 53 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46.4%
  • Female: 53.6%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 75 cases
  • 1-11 — 665 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,648 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,103 cases
  • 30-39 — 2,993 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,927 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,708 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,307 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,444 cases
  • 80+ — 1,012 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
