Walmart is expected to join the growing list of vaccine sites in Daviess County as early as next week, according to Gov. Andy Beshear.

Local Walmart pharmacy officials could not confirm Thursday evening if only one or both Walmart stores in Daviess County will be a vaccine site. No response was received at the time of publication from Walmart’s corporate office regarding which store(s) will be a vaccine site and when appointments can start being made.

Appointments will be required. Walmart pharmacy accounts will be needed to make an appointment through their online scheduler, found here. At this time, appointments can not be made in Daviess County, and neither store was listed as a vaccine site on Walmart’s scheduling page at the time of publication.

Beshear on Thursday announced a total of 119 new vaccination sites, bringing the state’s total number of vaccine providers to 410.
