COVID-19 update: 32 cases, 28 recoveries reported for district

A total of 32 more cases of COVID-19 and 28 recoveries were announced Monday for the Green River District, including 14 cases and 17 recoveries in Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (14), Hancock (1), Henderson (11), Ohio (2), Union (2), Webster (2)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (17), Hancock (2), Henderson (6), McLean (1), Ohio (1), Union (1)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 20,728
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 18,580 (90%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 5
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 863 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 377

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 9,885 cases, 8,923 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 350 ever hospitalized, 175 deaths
  • Hancock County – 801 cases, 721 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,365 cases, 3,816 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 202 ever hospitalized, 71 deaths
  • McLean County – 837 cases, 765 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 48 ever hospitalized, 28 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,433 cases, 2,199 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 123 ever hospitalized, 53 deaths
  • Union County – 1,240 cases, 1,135 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 64 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,167 cases, 1,021 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 54 ever hospitalized, 19 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46.6%
  • Female: 53.4%

  • 12-19 — 1,870 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,427 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,281 cases
  • 40-49 — 3,240 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,979 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,493 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,528 cases
  • 80+ — 1,062 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
