COVID-19 update: 40 cases, 56 recoveries reported for district

A total of 40 more cases of COVID-19 and 56 recoveries were announced Monday for the Green River District, including 23 cases and 34 recoveries in Daviess County. The numbers reflect a two-day period.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (23), Hancock (1), Henderson (4), Ohio (11), Union (1)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (34), Hancock (3), Henderson (8), McLean (1), Ohio (5), Union (3), Webster (2)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 20,042
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 17,852 (89%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 10
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 839 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 334

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 9,512 cases, 8,505 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 338 ever hospitalized, 156 deaths
  • Hancock County – 769 cases, 692 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 22 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,231 cases, 3,699 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 198 ever hospitalized, 59 deaths
  • McLean County – 821 cases, 746 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 48 ever hospitalized, 26 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,352 cases, 2,094 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 116 ever hospitalized, 48 deaths
  • Union County – 1,215 cases, 1,110 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 63 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,142 cases, 1,006 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 54 ever hospitalized, 17 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46.6%
  • Female: 53.4%

  • <1 — 78 cases
  • 1-11 — 722 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,777 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,284 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,178 cases
  • 40-49 — 3,130 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,889 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,437 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,502 cases
  • 80+ — 1,045 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
