COVID-19 update: 32 cases, 58 recoveries reported for district

A total of 32 more cases of COVID-19 and 58 recoveries were announced Tuesday for the Green River District, including 14 cases and 35 recoveries in Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (14), Henderson (10), McLean (1), Ohio (2), Union (1), Webster (4)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (35), Hancock (4), Henderson (9), McLean (3), Ohio (4), Union (2), Webster (1)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 20,908
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 18,796 (90%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 5
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 869 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 375

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 9,981 cases, 9,047 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 351 ever hospitalized, 173 deaths
  • Hancock County – 807 cases, 730 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,402 cases, 3,859 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 202 ever hospitalized, 71 deaths
  • McLean County – 844 cases, 771 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 49 ever hospitalized, 28 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,444 cases, 2,213 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 123 ever hospitalized, 53 deaths
  • Union County – 1,252 cases, 1,145 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 65 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,178 cases, 1,031 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 57 ever hospitalized, 19 deaths

  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46.6%
  • Female: 53.4%

  • 70-79 — 1,537 cases
  • 80+ — 1,064 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
