COVID-19 update: 33 cases, 27 recoveries reported for district

A total of 33 more cases of COVID-19 and 27 recoveries were announced Saturday for the Green River District, including 20 cases and 15 recoveries in Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (20), Henderson (8), McLean (1), Ohio (2), Union (1), Webster (1)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (15), Hancock (2), Henderson (4), McLean (1), Ohio (2), Union (2), Webster (1)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 201,005
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 18,893 (90%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 8
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 879 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 380

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 10,033 cases, 9,103 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 356 ever hospitalized, 175 deaths
  • Hancock County – 816 cases, 734 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,419 cases, 3,875 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 205 ever hospitalized, 72 deaths
  • McLean County – 846 cases, 773 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 49 ever hospitalized, 28 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,451 cases, 2,220 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 123 ever hospitalized, 55 deaths
  • Union County – 1,258 cases, 1,151 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 67 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,182 cases, 1,037 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 58 ever hospitalized, 19 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46.6%
  • Female: 53.4%

  • 1-11 — 773 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,917 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,475 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,326 cases
  • 40-49 — 3,290 cases
  • 50-59 — 3,020 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,509 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,541 cases
  • 80+ — 1,069 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
