COVID-19 update: 40 cases, 23 recoveries reported for district

A total of 40 more cases of COVID-19 and 23 recoveries were announced Monday for the Green River District, including 16 cases and 16 recoveries in Daviess County. The numbers reflect a three-day period.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (16), Hancock (2), Henderson (14), McLean (1), Ohio (1), Union (5), Webster (1)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (16), Hancock (1), Henderson (6)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 20,876
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 18,738 (90%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 7
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 868 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 375

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 9,967 cases, 9,012 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 351 ever hospitalized, 173 deaths
  • Hancock County – 807 cases, 726 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,392 cases, 3,850 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 202 ever hospitalized, 71 deaths
  • McLean County – 843 cases, 768 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 49 ever hospitalized, 28 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,442 cases, 2,209 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 123 ever hospitalized, 53 deaths
  • Union County – 1,251 cases, 1,143 recovered, 0 current hospitalization, 65 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,174 cases, 1,030 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 56 ever hospitalized, 19 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46.6%
  • Female: 53.4%

  • 1-11 — 769 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,896 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,452 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,305 cases
  • 40-49 — 3,265 cases
  • 50-59 — 3,006 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,498 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,537 cases
  • 80+ — 1,063 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
