COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 36 cases, 14 recoveries reported for district

A total of 36 more cases of COVID-19 and 14 new recoveries were announced Monday for the Green River District, including 26 cases and 6 recoveries in Daviess County. Two coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess County from the state audit of death certificates.

An additional death in Henderson County was reported from the state audit of death certificates.

  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (6), Henderson (5), Union (2), Webster (1)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 21,631
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 19,376 (90%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 10
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 859 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 387

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 10,369 cases, 9,347 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 343 ever hospitalized, 178 deaths
  • Hancock County – 844 cases, 760 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,582 cases, 4,003 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 205 ever hospitalized, 76 deaths
  • McLean County – 863 cases, 786 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 50 ever hospitalized, 28 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,484 cases, 2,247 recovered, 0 current hospitalization, 112 ever hospitalized, 54 deaths
  • Union County – 1,276 cases, 1,171 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 68 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,213 cases, 1,062 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 59 ever hospitalized, 20 deaths

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 43
  • Male: 46.7%
  • Female: 53.3%

  • 12-19 — 2,02 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,580 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,449 cases
  • 40-49 — 3,382 cases
  • 50-59 — 3,099 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,565 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,559 cases
  • 80+ — 1,079 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
