COVID-19 update: 26 cases, 26 recoveries reported for district

A total of 26 more cases of COVID-19 and 26 new recoveries were announced Saturday for the Green River District, including 10 cases and 18 recoveries in Daviess County.

An additional death in Henderson County was reported from the state audit of death certificates.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (10), Hancock (1), Henderson (7), McLean (1), Ohio (1), Union (3), Webster (3)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (18), Hancock (1), Henderson (4), McLean (1), Ohio (1), Union (1)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 21,819
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 19,532 (90%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 9
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 867 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 394

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 10,454 cases, 9,440 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 346 ever hospitalized, 182 deaths
  • Hancock County – 847 cases, 767 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,636 cases, 4,046 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 207 ever hospitalized, 77 deaths
  • McLean County – 866 cases, 788 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 51 ever hospitalized, 28 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,503 cases, 2,250 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 113 ever hospitalized, 56 deaths
  • Union County – 1,291 cases, 1,174 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 69 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,222 cases, 1,067 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 59 ever hospitalized, 20 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 43
  • Male: 46.8%
  • Female: 53.2%

  • 1-11 — 814 cases
  • 12-19 — 2,047 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,620 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,487 cases
  • 40-49 — 3,415 cases
  • 50-59 — 3,123 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,578 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,563 cases
  • 80+ — 1,083 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
