COVID-19 update: 34 cases, 16 recoveries reported for district

A total of 34 more cases of COVID-19 and 16 new recoveries were announced Thursday for the Green River District, including 14 new cases and 4 recoveries in Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (14), Hancock (1), Henderson (5), Ohio (3), Union (5), Webster (5)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (4), Henderson (7), McLean (2), Union (3)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 21,959
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 19,651 (90%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 10
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 875 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 395

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 10,501 cases, 9,509 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 347 ever hospitalized, 182 deaths
  • Hancock County – 851 cases, 768 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,672 cases, 4,065 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 210 ever hospitalized, 78 deaths
  • McLean County – 868 cases, 794 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 52 ever hospitalized, 28 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,516 cases, 2,260 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 114 ever hospitalized, 56 deaths
  • Union County – 1,304 cases, 1,180 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 70 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,247 cases, 1,075 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 60 ever hospitalized, 20 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 43
  • Male: 46.8%
  • Female: 53.2%

  • 1-11 — 817 cases
  • 12-19 — 2,075 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,638 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,509 cases
  • 40-49 — 3,443 cases
  • 50-59 — 3,143 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,589 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,568 cases
  • 80+ — 1,087 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
