COVID-19 update: 35 cases, 22 recoveries reported for district

A total of 35 more cases of COVID-19 and 22 new recoveries were announced Saturday for the Green River District, including 25 cases and 13 recoveries in Daviess County.

An additional death in Henderson County was reported from the state audit of death certificates.

  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (13), Henderson (5), Union (1), Webster (3)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 21,595
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 19,362 (90%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 9
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 858 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 385

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 10,343 cases, 9,341 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 342 ever hospitalized, 176 deaths
  • Hancock County – 844 cases, 760 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,575 cases, 3,998 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 205 ever hospitalized, 76 deaths
  • McLean County – 863 cases, 786 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 50 ever hospitalized, 28 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,483 cases, 2,247 recovered, 0 current hospitalization, 112 ever hospitalized, 54 deaths
  • Union County – 1,275 cases, 1,169 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 68 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,212 cases, 1,061 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 59 ever hospitalized, 20 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 43
  • Male: 46.8%
  • Female: 53.2%

  • 1-11 — 806 cases
  • 12-19 — 2,016 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,576 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,444 cases
  • 40-49 — 3,375 cases
  • 50-59 — 3,092 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,562 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,558 cases
  • 80+ — 1,077 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
