COVID-19 update: 4 deaths, 54 cases, 40 recoveries reported for district

A total of 54 more cases of COVID-19 and 40 new recoveries were announced Tuesday for the Green River District, including 22 cases and 29 recoveries in Daviess County. Three coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess County and one coronavirus-related death was reported in Ohio County. Two are being reported from the state audit of death certificates.

An additional death in Henderson County was reported from the state audit of death certificates.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (22), Henderson (24), Ohio (7), Union (1)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (29), Hancock (2), Henderson (8), Union (1)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 21,685
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 19,416 (90%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 8
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 863 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 391

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 10,391 cases, 9,376 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 345 ever hospitalized, 181 deaths
  • Hancock County – 844 cases, 762 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,606 cases, 4,011 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 205 ever hospitalized, 76 deaths
  • McLean County – 863 cases, 786 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 50 ever hospitalized, 28 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,491 cases, 2,246 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 113 ever hospitalized, 55 deaths
  • Union County – 1,277 cases, 1,172 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 69 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,213 cases, 1,063 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 59 ever hospitalized, 20 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 43
  • Male: 46.8%
  • Female: 53.2%

  • 1-11 — 809 cases
  • 12-19 — 2,027 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,595 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,463 cases
  • 40-49 — 3,389 cases
  • 50-59 — 3,106 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,569 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,559 cases
  • 80+ — 1,079 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
