Fiscal Court met Wednesday and closed their 2020-21 fiscal year with one line of action.
They transferred $34,370 from the 2020-21 general budget to the new fiscal year’s general budget. Likewise, they transferred $12,000 from the jail fund to the next fiscal year’s fund.
During the Facebook Live broadcast, comments filled the meeting asking for the Panther Creek Fire Tower to be reopened for public access and fixed for maintenance.
This issue was brought to the Court’s attention at the June 15 meeting when Zac Ferrell presented the petition. The online petition now has more than 200 signatures.
As no new business was brought to the floor, the Court adjourned for the last time for the 2020-21 fiscal year.
The next meeting will be held today at 5 p.m. and marks the start of the 2021-22 fiscal year.
