Green River District COVID-19 update — August 3

The Green River District Health Department reported 355 new confirmed COVID-19 cases for the district on Tuesday — with 162 in Daviess County. The newly reported cases were investigated between Friday and Monday.  

GRDHD also reported new cases in the following counties: 13 in Hancock, 78 in Henderson, 10 in McLean, 46 in Ohio, 18 in Union, and 28 in Webster.

There were also four COVID-19-related deaths reported Monday: 1 in Henderson, 2 in Union, and 1 in Webster County.

The current 7-day average for new cases in the seven-county Green River District is 94.9 new cases per day. All seven counties are now areas of high transmission.

As reported by Green River District Health Department, the seven-county district’s totals to date are:

  • Reported cases: 24,399 (11,489 for Daviess)
  • Currently hospitalized: 28 (18 for Daviess)
  • Ever hospitalized: 979 (389 for Daviess)
  • Deaths: 417 (191 for Daviess)
