You want free news? You got it. From now through the end of the year, Owensboro Times is removing our paywall on Sundays. That means access to all of our content all day once a week, no subscription or login required. All at your fingertips, no waiting on delivery.

We know local news is important to our readers — it’s the basis of why OT was founded just more than 3 years ago.

Our goal as an online news source has always been to make daily, local news more accessible to everyone. This is the next step in that goal.

While we’d love to make all content free all the time, please keep in mind we do have a small staff that works hard to keep you in the know. And just so you know, from the owners to the writers, we’re all local.

But, there are still costs involved. That’s why we truly appreciate every person who subscribes.

We currently offer free accounts that provide access to a limited number of articles along with a daily newsletter and consistent social media posts.

For those that want more — or for those who simply want to support a local business — we offer monthly and yearly plans that provide unlimited access.

So if you aren’t a subscriber already, check us out on Sundays. If you like what you see and want to read the news as it happens, please consider subscribing to Owensboro’s only locally owned daily news outlet.

Anyone who subscribes between now and Dec. 31 using the coupon code “freesundays” will get 25% off their subscription.
