It was a clean sweep for Apollo track and field as Eagles and E-Gals both finished first at the Hancock County meet on Tuesday evening. Hancock County finished second, McLean County third, Trinity (Whitesville) fourth, and Cloverport fifth.
AHS: Winning both the boys and girls meets, Apollo finished first in 16 events, including the girls’ 4×200 relay, girls’ 4×100 relay, boys’ 4×100 relay, girls’ 4×400 relay, and the boys’ 4×400 relay. The top finishers for Apollo included:
- Gabriel Jones: 1st in 110m, 1st in 300m hurdles, 1st in long jump
- Emhadjai Badger: 1st in 100m, 1st in triple jump
- Avery Boarman: 1st in 1600m, 1st in 800m
- Noah Gray: 1st in 1600m
- Asher Alvey: 1st in 800m, 1st in 3200m
- Aubrey Johnson: 1st in discus
HCHS: As a team, Hancock County finished second in both the boys’ and girls’ competitions and placed first in the boys’ 4×800 relay and boys’ 4×200 relay. The top finishers for Hancock County included:
- Carolina Jones: 1st in 100m, 1st in 300m hurdles, 1st in high jump
- Ellen Meserve: 1st in 400m, 1st in 200m, 1st in shot put
- Matthew Carroll: 1st in 400m
- Cooper Jones: 200m
- Camdyn Harper: 1st in shot put, 1st in discus
- Isabella Ross: 1st in long jump, 1st in triple jump, 1st in 3200m
MCHS: As a team, McLean County finished third in the boys’ and girls’ meets, with Jackson Galloway placing first in the high jump. The top finishers for McLean County included:
- Relays: 2nd in boys 4×800, 2nd in girls 4×200, 2nd in girls 4×100, girls 4×400, boys 4×400
- Ragan Brown: 2nd in discus
- Hayli Billerbeck: 300m hurdles
- Adrianna Watts: 2nd in 100m hurdles
- Jackson Galloway: 2nd in triple jump
THS: Finishing fourth overall in both the boys’ and girls’ competitions, Trinity was third in the 4×200 relay. The top finishers for Trinity (Whitesville) included:
