BOYS
DC’S BOLING, GLOVER COMBINE FOR 9 GOALS IN PURPLES CLASSIC
Jacob Boling scored five goals and Hayden Glover added four for Daviess County (7-0-1) as the Panthers went 1-0-2 in the Purples Classic at Bowling Green. After rolling by Logan County 9-1 on Friday, DC tied North Oldham 3-3 and Central Hardin 1-1 in a pair of matches Saturday.

Boling and Glover finished with three scores each Friday night. Nate Dailey, Hunter Clark and Neh Reh had one goal each. Hayden Boswell, Nick Vincent, Reh and Clark each had an assist.

Against North Oldham, Boling added two more goals and Glover scored once. Clark picked up two more assists, while Boswell recorded one more of his own.

Against Central Hardin, Boswell scored the equalizer in the second half after stealing the ball.

The Panthers return home Tuesday to host Bowling Green.


EAGLES WIN 2 IN PURPLES CLASSIC; 7 PLAYERS SCORE
Yo Shi Ya scored a pair of goals and six others recorded one each as Apollo (4-4) earned a pair of victories in the Purples Classic in Bowling Green. The Eagles beat Lexington Christian 4-1 and Calloway County 4-0.

Against CCHS, Ya scored twice while Justin Gillim and Harrison Bowman each scored once. Picking up assists were Justin Gillim, Jacob Gillim, Ya and Bowman. Matthew Marks had six saves in goal.

Against LCA, goals came from Jacob Gillim, Houston Collins, Teranse Twihenya and Soe Niang. Assists came from Justin Gillim, Casey Rynkowksi, Houston Collins and Marks. Marks had two saves in goal.

The Eagles are off until Thursday when they travel to play Owensboro.


RED DEVILS TOP GREENWOOD, POST 2ND CONSECUTIVE SHUTOUT
Owensboro (5-3-1) scored three first-half goals and keeper Radley Worth had 13 saves as they picked up a 3-0 home victory over Greenwood.

Josh Head scored twice and Andrew Saltsman added a goal of his own as the Red Devils charged in front early. Kevin Payne added assists on two goals, while Head scored unassisted once.

Owensboro will go on the road again Tuesday when they play at North Hardin.



GIRLS
E-GALS SCORE 1ST GOAL OF SEASON, FALL AT HOME
Madelyn Decker scored the team’s first goal of the year, but Apollo (0-6) was unable to match Paducah Tilghman in an 11-1 home loss. JoHannah Hutchinson recorded 15 saves in goal.

The E-Gals are back in action Tuesday when they host Owensboro Catholic.
