BOYS

• Reh, Boswell lead Panthers to home win
• Aces lose shootout in All ‘A’ quarters
• Red Devils shut out at home
• Eagles come up short in road loss

GIRLS
• Lady Aces fall in semifinals of All ‘A’ state tourney
• Lady Panthers dominant in win at Ohio County
• E-Gals, Lady Devils fall at home to Calloway County


BOYS
REH, BOSWELL LEAD PANTHERS TO HOME WIN
Neh Reh and Hayden Boswell each scored twice as Daviess County (13-1) beat Oldham County 5-3 at home.

Oldham County took a 2-0 lead but the Panthers responded with four goals before halftime. Jacob Boling scored first, followed by a pair of goals from Reh and one by Boswell. Boswell then added his second early in the second period.

Assists came from Carson Thomas, Dax Sandifer and Hayden Glover. Kaya Suzer had seven saves.

The Panthers play again Tuesday when they host Henderson County.


ACES LOSE SHOOTOUT IN ALL ‘A’ QUARTERS
Owensboro Catholic (5-7-1) lost 2-1 in a penalty shootout to Prestonsburg in the All “A” Class state tournament quarterfinals in Frankfort. Joe Fusco scored the lone goal for the Aces off an assist from Davis Conner. Caleb Ranallo had seven saves. Catholic plays again Monday when they host Fort Campbell.


RED DEVILS SHUT OUT AT HOME
Owensboro (12-4-2) lost for the first time in 11 games, dropping a home match 1-0 to McCracken County. The Red Devils are back in action Thursday when they host University Heights.


EAGLES COME UP SHORT IN ROAD LOSS
Apollo (8-8) wasn’t able to break through in a 1-0 road loss at Glasgow. Keeper Matthew Marks had seven saves in goal. The Eagles play again Tuesday at Grayson County.



GIRLS
LADY ACES FALL IN SEMIFINALS OF ALL ‘A’ STATE TOURNEY
Owensboro Catholic (7-5-1) beat Walton-Verona 3-2 in a penalty kick shootout in the quarterfinals, but later fell 6-2 to Bethlehem in the All “A” Classic state tournament in Frankfort.

In the first game, Lily Moore scored a pair of unassisted goals before Walton-Verona tied the match late. In the shootout, Catholic keeper Megan Goodwin saved the first shot while the Lady Aces scored on all five attempts.

Against Bethlehem, Ashton Logsdon scored in the first half and Moore knocked in a goal in the second half off an assist from Kara Morris.

The Lady Aces play again Tuesday when they host Bowling Green.


LADY PANTHERS DOMINANT IN WIN AT OHIO COUNTY
Daviess County (15-2) picked up their fifth win in a row and got goals from seven players as they rolled to an 8-1 road victory over Ohio County.

Kayla Vanover led the scoring effort with two goals. Emma Winstead, Sophie Jagoe, Ashlyn Payton, Avery McNeiley, Bree Owen and Meredith Campbell each added one.

DC got one assist each from Brooke Schwartz, McNeiley, Owen, Campbell, Chloe Hinchcliffe and Tori Beth Bayliss. Emma Patterson had five saves in goal, and Emma Pratt had one.

The Lady Panthers play again Thursday at Evansville Memorial.


E-GALS, LADY DEVILS FALL AT HOME TO CALLOWAY COUNTY
Calloway County topped Apollo 10-0 in a morning contest then picked up a 7-2 win over Owensboro in the afternoon.

Goals for the Lady Devils (3-8) came from Ella Bratcher and Rylee Cox. Chandler Worth recorded seven saves in goal and also assisted on the score by Cox with a long punt.

OHS plays again Thursday when they travel to South Warren. The E-Gals (0-10) are also on the road Thursday when they go to Muhlenberg County.
