A pair of locals advanced to their respective finals in the 3rd Region Tennis Tournament Monday at Centre Court but the rest of the field will have to wait until today as rain delayed the rest of the semifinals.

Owensboro’s Dylan Mather advanced to the boy’s singles final while Owensboro Catholic’s Ella Cason advanced to the girl’s singles final before rain delayed the rest of the matches.

Six matches still have to be finished to determine the rest of the finals but several locals have already advanced to state and are in contention for a region title.

In boys doubles, the duo of Brett Conder and Tucker Ray are still alive as they take on a pair of Green Waves from Meade County. In the other semifinal, Daviess County’s Graham Sandefur and Camden Clark are taking on the duo from Muhlenberg County.
