Apollo and Daviess County showed out in the 2022-23 City-County Wrestling Championship on Tuesday, while the Eagles went undefeated and both teams having a plethora of wrestlers make the All City-County team.
The Eagles went 3-0 in the meet with wins over Owensboro 54-24, Owensboro Catholic 48-30, and Daviess County 45-33. They had seven wrestlers who were selected to the all-city/county team including Jake Ramsey, Damon Crockett, Dana Bishop, Mason Shephard, Tavius Walker, Clayton Pendley and Luke Eason.
Daviess County followed close behind the Eagles, defeating Catholic 51-30 and Owensboro 60-16. Jackson Stoner, Tyson Sheron and Gil Nicodemus all went undefeated and made the All-City County Team, while Josh Rudkosky and Jaxon Winkler both went 2-1 on the night.
