Offensive struggles plagued the Lady Raiders to kick off the week, getting just two hits and giving up two errors in a 9-2 road loss to Hancock County.

Lady Hornets junior Lily Roberts was in complete control of the game on Monday, owning a 9-0 lead and holding Trinity (Whitesville) hitless heading into the seventh. The Lady Raiders were able to get a pair of doubles from senior Abby Payne and junior Georgia Howard—with the latter scoring two runs.

Those would be the only runs of the day though, as Roberts finished her complete-game performance having allowed the two runs on two hits, while striking out a whopping 17 en route to the 9-2 win. Trinity falls to 3-5 with the loss, as they’ll look to bounce back on the road against Warren Central on Tuesday at 5:45 p.m.
